The Ishani Jacket is fully reversible with large roomy pockets on both sides. It’s left open with a button-free collar stand, for maximum versatility. The garment also features a mandarin collar, and cotton bias finishing on one side to highlight the shape and graphic lines of the seams.

About the Textiles Used: This Ishani Jacket is made from repurposed Vintage Kantha quilts, and the original patina includes areas of heavy fraying, patches and an age-softened feel.

The kantha quilt used to make this jacket is extremely old. Fine layers of cotton muslin have peeled away to reveal bright colours underneath. Although the fabric appears fragile, since it's composed of approx five layers of cotton muslin, the fine and dense kantha stitches hold everything together, and keep the beautiful patina intact.
