Great jacket!

"So glad I got the Kaira jacket! It's super comfortable and adds a cool edge to whatever you're wearing. I always get compliments. It's definitely cropped so keep that in mind if that style's not what you're looking for." - Carrie F.

★★★★★

unique and lovely piece

"It’s very well crafted and I received compliments from every Gen Z person when wearing this to work, so now I know it’s hip. :)" - Omega J.

★★★★★

Instant compliments!

"This is my second Kaira because I wanted something with miee nlue, and I love this tile-like print. I like the slouchy fit and cropped length—I feel like it balances my proportions and makes my waist look slimmer, plus it makes casual/lounge outfits look more put-together. I even get compliments in video meetings!" -Erin I.

ONLY ONE MADE.

Each Kantha Jackets is Unique

ONE SIZE FITS MANY. REVERSIBLE. GENDERLESS.

The Kaira Crop Jacket features a relaxed fit and the hem hits at the lower waist for most people. The sleeves are designed to be rolled, and there are pockets on one side.

JUST THE FACTS

  • The Kaira Jacket is a fully reversible cropped quilted jacket made from vintage Kantha quilts, each with its own stitching, layout, and patina (signs of age). Its boxy silhouette, mandarin collar, and rollable sleeves create a clean, modern shape that stands apart from mass-market cropped jacket styles.

Because every quilt is different and the jacket is reversible, each Kaira is a true one-of-a-kind patchwork jacket offering two distinct looks in one.

  • Because each jacket is made from a different vintage Kantha quilt, the thickness and hand-feel naturally vary—some quilts feel lighter and more relaxed, while others have a slightly more structured feel. This variation is part of what makes each jacket one-of-a-kind.

To get a sense of the specific quilt used for your piece, you can check the “Meet the Materials” section on the product page, where the fabric weight is listed.

  • The Kaira has a relaxed, boxy silhouette intended to fit a wide range of sizes (roughly women’s XS–L). The cropped proportion keeps outfits feeling balanced, and sleeves can be rolled to adjust length.

If you’re unsure which jacket aligns best with your proportions or preferred look, our team is always happy to help.

  • Yes. The Kaira Jacket is cut from a single vintage Kantha quilt stitched by artisans in Jaipur. No two quilts share the same colors, age marks, or layout, which means the exact jacket you see photographed is the one you’ll receive.

Unlike many sustainable clothing brands, Namai never duplicates a design or produces in batches.

  • Spot clean when possible, and machine wash on a delicate cycle and hang dry. (Lay flat to dry.) Natural fading, tonal variation, or small frays are part of the quilt’s age and history.

Namai offers lifetime repairs to support long-term wear and preserve artisan-made textiles.

  • Most sustainable clothing options rely on repeated designs or printed replicas. The Kaira Jacket is created from antique quilts using heritage hand-stitching methods, and each piece is documented and sold individually.

It is a reversible, one-of-a-kind patchwork jacket with real provenance — not a factory-made copy.

  • The Kaira’s cropped length keeps proportions clean, making it easy to wear with high-rise denim, trousers, skirts, or dresses. Because it’s reversible, you can choose a quieter or bolder side depending on your look.

Many customers treat it as their everyday cropped jacket for work, travel, and simple dressing. And it can also be dressed up for weddings and parties over a simple dress.
