Bianca Kuttickattu was born in England to artist parents and raised across England and Canada. Her early love of second-hand fashion and vintage textiles laid the foundation for a career rooted in thoughtful design. After formal studies in London and Paris, she worked in couture and designed footwear for luxury fashion houses like Celine and Acne.
But the fast-paced industry left her searching for a slower, more sustainable way to create. During a pandemic hiatus, Bianca returned to making things by hand and founded Namai to celebrate repurposed textiles and traditional craftsmanship. Choosing to work with antique Indian saris also allowed her to connect more deeply with her father’s South Indian heritage.
Through Namai, Bianca merges her global design background with a deeply personal mission: to create one-of-a-kind garments that feel as soulful as they are sustainable.
