The fit of The Ishani is oversized and loose, which some people love, and others feel a little swallowed by. If you like an oversized fit, have strong shoulders, or can't button the Ladhiya or Narmada, then this is the style for you! It hangs open, and we've taken special care this time to select really soft quilts for the jacket. The team had so much fun styling them for this transitioning season..

CHRIS: I could wear the Ishani all the time and never get tired of it. As someone who loves rocking baggy jeans and a tank top or t-shirt, it fits perfectly into my everyday style. Plus, the pocket space is a game-changer—no need to carry a purse, which I absolutely love.

CHRIS: The Ishani Jacket is definitely one of my top two Namai jackets. While I usually reach for the Kaira Cropped Jacket because I’m all about that cropped style, the Ishani is also a favorite of mine for different reasons. It’s the kind of jacket that makes me feel confident and comfortable, like I can just throw it on and instantly look great while staying super relaxed and cozy.

CHRIS: What I appreciate most about the Ishani is its versatility. Whether I’m going for a laid-back, baggy look or something a bit different, it just works. I picked this particular Ishani because of the colors and the funky stitching! I love an all-black or all-white outfit with a pop of color, and this jacket gives me both!

ZOSIA: My day-to-day style is very minimalist so I feel like adding a statement jacket over basics allows me to express myself and liven up an outfit. I was drawn to this Ishani as the print is really fun and makes me really happy. This Ishani jacket is also really soft, I could see myself reaching for this jacket as a quick throw over for almost any occasion and feeling instantly cozy and stylish.

ZOSIA: I own a Ladhiya Jacket but prefer to wear it unbuttoned so the Ishani is a great addition that suits my style. The Ishani jacket is a perfect jacket for Late Spring into Winter, the extra room in the sleeves is perfect for bundling up with a sweater as the temperature drops. I could definitely see myself wrapped up in this Ishani while walking along the beach, sitting around the fire or eating at my favorite outdoor restaurant.

ALANAH: The Ishani Jacket is actually the first Namai jacket I ever purchased, as a birthday present for myself two years ago now. Although I have collected more jackets over my time working with Namai, it is still the one I find myself reaching for the most. What I love about the Ishani is how it feels casual and dressy at the same time. Sometimes wearing fitted clothing, like the jeans and leotard I have on here, can make me feel too exposed. Wrapping myself up in an Ishani jacket gives me a layer of comfort that makes me feel more confident.

ALANAH: My absolute favourite thing about the Ishani Jacket is that it is PERFECT to travel with. If you're only going to bring one jacket on travels with you, this is the one. It's ideal for throwing over a summer outfit as the sun goes down, or layering up with a jumper, scarf and beanie in colder climates. You can often find me using mine as a blanket on planes and trains! It is the cosiest piece to have with you and truly a travel essential.

ALANAH: I chose this particular Ishani because it has my favourite colour combination, green and mauve, with the sweetest flower decals. The inside of this jacket is also super quirky with crown patches, which I think is really fun.

BIANCA: A lot of people don't know this, but the Ishani Jacket was actually our second ever style, after The Narmada Jacket. The year we launched our online store, 2022, it was actually our best-selling style! The Ishani Jacket arose because a new artisan workshop that we started to work with forgot to add buttons to the sample that they made, and I loved it, and so did everyone else, so it stayed that way!

BIANCA: Not having buttons somehow makes The Ishani really versatile, it can be dressed up over a dress, and also can be worn really casually. I like how the clean facing works with a boiler suit like I'm wearing for example, because the front zipper can be the start of the show! It's roomy silhouette makes it ideal for layering over sweaters and padded jackets and vests in Fall and Winter too, and The Ishani has always been my favorite after-beach jacket.

BIANCA: I chose this piece because I loved its softness and worn patina, the way there is a more muted side together with a really bold and colourful side, and I feel I would wear both sides equally... The colourful side reminds me of a watercolour painting, a spiderweb on acid, or the colourful holiday of Holi.
