Namai is an independent, New York-based fashion brand founded by Bianca Kuttickattu in 2020. We create timeless, zero-waste clothing from repurposed antique Indian textiles, offering versatile pieces that can be worn by people of all genders, all year round. Each of our one-of-a-kind garments is crafted from second-hand Kantha quilts sourced in Jaipur, India, embodying a rich history and a commitment to sustainability. Retail Sales Associate — Rhinebeck, NY

Namai is looking for an outgoing, organized and detail-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our new store in Rhinebeck, New York.

The ideal candidate has a natural sense of style, genuinely connects with the Namai brand and enjoys creating a warm, thoughtful and memorable experience for every customer. This is a hands-on role for someone equally comfortable styling customers, maintaining a beautiful store and managing the practical details of daily retail operations.

Responsibilities include:

• Welcoming customers and sharing the story, craftsmanship and values behind Namai

• Offering thoughtful styling advice and product recommendations

• Processing purchases, returns and exchanges

• Using Shopify POS and maintaining accurate customer and sales information

• Keeping the store beautifully presented, organized and well stocked

• Receiving, tagging and organizing inventory

• Assisting with merchandising and store displays

• Opening and closing the store and completing daily sales procedures

• Supporting occasional store events and special projects

The ideal candidate is:

• Warm, outgoing and confident speaking with customers

• Passionate about Namai, independent design and beautifully made products

• Organized, dependable and highly detail-oriented

• Naturally stylish, with a strong eye for color, proportion and presentation

• Comfortable using computers and learning new systems

• Experienced with Shopify or Shopify POS, although this is not required

• Experienced in fashion, design or premium retail, preferably

• Able to commute reliably to Rhinebeck

• Available to work four to six days per week, including weekends and some holidays

• Able to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation, and comfortable performing the physical tasks associated with receiving and organizing inventory

Position: Full-time or part-time plus,, depending on schedule.
Location: Rhinebeck, New York
Pay: $20–$25 per hour plus comission, depending on relevant experience
Schedule: Approximately four to six days per week, including weekends
